The story behind

This photograph captures Machu Picchu, one of the world’s true wonders, but it also holds the memory of the journey that led to it. We chose the longest route from Cusco, walking more than three hours along the railway with our backpacks and two Peruvian friends we had just met on the bus. The road was long, but the anticipation carried us forward.

When Machu Picchu finally appeared before me, I was genuinely moved. It felt impossible to comprehend how the Inca had shaped massive stones atop these mountains, building an entire city suspended between earth and sky. Touching the ancient walls, I felt both the gentleness and the immense power of history, the kind of power no one can resist or erase.

Machu Picchu is more than stone and terraces. It is a testament to human brilliance, perseverance, and an understanding of the world far beyond its time.
Standing there, I understood why this place is a wonder of the world. It feels eternal.

Additional info

I use Hahnemühle fine art paper for most of my prints to ensure the highest possible quality. Hahnemühle is recognized as one of the world's top fine art paper brands, offering a wide range of textures and finishes. Depending on the photograph, I choose the specific paper type that best brings out the image's depth, tone, and character.

All prints are produced through a trusted and highly experienced fine art print shop in Japan. The lab has a strong background in creating museum-grade exhibition prints and works with professional EPSON large-format printers using premium archival pigment inks. This combination delivers exceptional detail, accurate color reproduction, and long-lasting durability.

Each print is crafted with care to meet fine art standards from start to finish.

We offer both borderless prints and prints with a white border, depending on your framing preference.

If you plan to use a frame without a mat, we recommend choosing the white-border version. The added space creates a clean, minimalist presentation that enhances the artwork, draws attention to finer details, and delivers a refined, gallery-quality look with a balanced visual composition.

If you are using a frame with a built-in mat, the borderless version is the better choice, allowing the artwork to pair naturally with the mat and maintain proper proportions.

Please note:

  • The prints do not come framed.
  • The white border is included within the total print dimensions. It does not add any extra size beyond the listed print measurements.
